The Dog Training Package includes three two hour training sessions once a fortnight over six weeks.

The Dog Training Package is suitable for all pet dog and puppy training. We cover:

• Basic obedience training

• Relationship building

• Leash walking

• Impulse control

• Operational handling (for vet visits etc)

• Boundaries and structure

• Crate training

• Appropriate discipline

• Play and how to use it in training

• Anything specific to your dog and the expectations you have for them

We use basic training to teach dogs the expectations in their day to day life and as a way for you to create an appropriate relationship with your dog through working together towards common goals.

Basic equipment you'll need:

• A slip lead

• Long line (at least 5m)

• Crate

• Training food

• Toy (any toy like a tug or fetch ball)

Below is the training template we use for training sessions. After the first session we will focus on the specific issues or training goals you have for your dog.

Session One

Session one starts with a conversation about any specific issues you are having with your dog so we can establish your expectations and what you want from your relationship with your dog. From there we create a plan to move forward in a way that works for you and your dog. We then cover:

• Management

• Household boundaries

• Routine building

• Appropriate relationship building with your dog

• Basic obedience training

• Marker words

• Loose leash walking

• Play training

Session Two

• Summarise session one

• Go over any questions you have

• Build on obedience and trick training

• Long line training

• Recall training

• Downstay training

• Distraction training with other dogs

• Teaching a tracking game (to see what other training/games your dog might enjoy)

• Discuss what is expected of your dog and what's wanted out of training moving forward

Session Three

• Summarise sessions one and two and go through any issues or questions you have

• Go over obedience training and the progress your having

• Troubleshooting any specific issues

• Anything else you want to go over or cover

• Often in a public place to test and proof the training in a public environment

• The Dog Training Package also gives continued email access to us for troubleshooting or support in your training journey. We also offer follow up training sessions.
